Life, Love, Long Hair, Weeping and Gnashing of Teeth, and other mysteries

The NEED To Communicate

I can see me posting things in this blog that are short. Knowing me as I do, I am guessing I'm going to sometimes say things like this:

I NEED to communicate.

I'm addicted to writing and even more so to communication. I've kept journals most of my life. I've had pen-pals since childhood.

And for a communication addict, what an invention Facebook is, as frustrating as it can be with its quirks. I can post a thought on there and if someone takes the bait and gives me feedback, great! But if they don't, at least I got to put my thought somewhere other than in my own brain so that, if nothing else, at least it is there for ME to see.

To quote from one of my favorite songs, "Breathe (2 A.M.)", by Anna Nalick:

"If I get it all down on paper it's no longer inside of me
Threatening the life it belongs to"

I keep all kinds of bits and pieces of my writing. Maybe someday I will be famous like Lucy Maude Montgomery, and then my journals and even scraps of my notes will be worth something to my children, and to my children's children, and so forth. (I think they'll be valuable to my descendents regardless of my degree of fame.)

I think of the Beatles, a fan of whom I've never been but they are famous so they are the example I will use. I think of how there are some old recordings of them from their pre-fame days, and how those are valuable even though not great. So there is hope for the things that I write now prior to renown. (OK, laugh with me!)

That's all I wanted to say about that. (This still falls under the category of Testing, Testing, 1-2-3, as I get used to this blog). Maybe I'll elaborate when I'm more awake.

Please comment to let me know someone is reading.

  1. Update: I have discovered the wonder of the Beatles!

A couple of my teenaged daughters and I were at the library, browsing through the DVDs. There was this one called "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", of which I had heard for many years but had never seen.

The fact that the Bee-Gees starred in it grabbed our attention, seeing how we have been known to frequently break into the song "Stayin' Alive".

When we later watched the DVD at home, during the first half hour or so, I was lost, having missed the first part as per usual in my life. I voiced aloud to the effect of, "I'm not sure I like this show."

But soon I ate my words as I fell in love with the music.

The second time I watched it, I fell in love with the story, as eclectic as it was.

And then, at the age of 44, for the first time in my life, after having heard their music endlessly on the radio all my life to the point where I know most of their song's lyrics despite having not liked them much before, I fell in love with the Beatles.

    Love works in mysterious ways.

  2. hahaha Love it! I've always loved the Beatles for their simplicity and depth at the same time. And of course the catchy tunes.

  3. Look whos on the top second from the left aleister crowley the greatest christian hater of our time. And is compleatly against God so why would you give your kids this garbage since you beleve in God. I use to be a beatles lover until i found this pepper is aleister crowley.Listen to the words of the song nice little lull i by untill you find out who he is .You are feeding you kids to thw wolfs.

    1. I've gone through some battles with myself concerning rock music over the years. It's still not completely settled within my mind as to what is right. I'm a work in progress.

I know Aleister Crowley is an infamous "evil person" and his deeds are publicized, but who of us are without sin, really, when it comes down to it? Even famous people who profess to be Christians, who really knows what goes on in their secret lives, in their minds, in their hearts?

Thanks for reminding me that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus..." (Romans 3:23-24)

  5. The picture is so big i cant write it in words i would have to show you since i am rock guitar my self there is no secret with these people thay do it openly you just have to pay attention thay hide it in there symbles and on there cds you just have to understand witch docterin and words and it all becomes clear madonna does not let her kids see any moves or tv or play any cds why becuse thay cast spells on them all the camera lies 21 times second.

    1. Yes, I'm aware of that. I first heard of it when I read the book "The Devil's Disciples" by Jeff Godwin in 1990, which is certainly not the best book on the subject, but was food for thought.

My husband is really big into recognizing symbolism. He has shown me similar videos to the one you shared. Thanks for your thoughts.

  6. And it not a matter of who is with out sin its a matter of what these people are doing to the masses. There goal now is 6 to 12 year olds for music listen to the songs na na na na that is there premis 40 year old people dancing and listing to music for 6 year old. They have got 6 year olds singing born this way in videos what kind of sick people are these. Six year old no noting about being gay it joke realy becuse they want to pass the new law no age of concent this is a whole other isue.Even dance music is carted for sex drugs being gay thay are attackig our kinds with this garbage and no body is standing in there way like acdc say hells bells no body is putting up fight

Talk to me - please.
